Many of us are working full-time jobs while also working on our own businesses. Add to that the responsibility of family and we are lucky to be able to build a business part-time.
While we are struggling to build a business part-time, we are thinking to ourselves, if only I had more time I could do this.
If you can’t build your network marketing business part-time,
you can’t build it full-time. – Ray Higdon
When I first read this quote, I had to stop and read it again. I know I have fallen into the trap before that if only I had more time, I could be successful.
What I have since learned, is it’s not more time that I needed, but time management. After all, we all have the same 24 hours in a day. But some people get a lot done, and some just think about it.
Here are 3 things that have helped me:
1) Make a schedule and keep a calendar where I can see it all the time. I schedule my time for my job, for my kids (I’m a widowed mom) and for my business. For me it’s so much easier to stick to a schedule if I can see it rather than trying to just wing it.
2) Get the whole family on board with you. I’ve let them know when I will be available for them and when I won’t (unless its an emergency of course), and why. It helps them to be supportive when they know I’m doing it for them.
3) Use any free time you have every day. When I have a few spare minutes throughout the day, I’ll hop on my phone and interact with posts on either Facebook or Instagram. You never know when you’ll make a great connection!
I hope you have found value here and feel free to share my post. And let me know if you have some strategies that work for you, I’d love to hear them!
Make it a great week,
